Thumbs up Whats those wires?

Got my new 04 F250 PSD home and was checking things out under the hood and found 4 exposed wires(white, red, blue and black) pulled from the plastic sheath not connected to anything. They're between the power steering reservoir and the firewall on the drivers side, and are actually in the same sheath as the hood light wiring. Was curious as to their purpose. thanks

I think this is for your trailer brake controller.

sure glad someone knows what they are,,

dealer was at a loss on the new 05,, of course he did not even know where the aux switch wires terminated so guess he sure would not know about those four wires,,

do appreciate,,

Customer access for what? I'm thinking maybe I didn't have to pop holes on my rubber grommets but instead use those "customer access wires" ??

Dieselman929, that is exactly what they are for. The wires are there so that you can hookup anything you need without having to pull your own wires through the firewall.

I first found out about the wires here (there are some other threads on them). If memory serves me correct when I went back and re-read my owners manual there is a short 1 or 2 sentence paragraph about them burried in the manual someplace.

I just installed a fog light kit from ford and they refer to the four wires as "pass through wires".
