autometer temp guage

just installed autometer guages on a 02 with a 7.3. The trans temp guage will not get up over 120 not pulling anything, the temp outside is about 40. Just wondering what is considered normal temp ? I have been reading other forums and they range from 100 to 200 which seems like a wide range. Thanks jb

Seems normal with no load and the outside temp were it is. Temp should be at or below engine temp no load cool outside temp. On a longer highway trip you'll see it come up.

Unless i'm in stop and go traffic for a long period of time I hardly see anything over 150 on my gauge. Your 02 has a much better trans cooler than mine.
