Clunking Noise
I have a 1997 Expedition that is making a "clunking" noise in the front left side. I've taken it to 2 mechanics (1 was a Ford dealership) and both say they cannot hear the noise. It's incredible! It seems to "clunk" at low speeds, sometimes driving straight, sometimes turning and sometimes backing up. They both said that they can't "see" anything wrong. I'm afraid to drive it, it sounds terrible - almost like it's going to fall apart. Any ideas on what it could be?

Drive it with them if you can reproduce it.
How loud is it that it sounds like its going to fall off?
If they have inspected it and given it an OK, the chances are good that its OK to drive.
You could also try another mechanic.
