New axles for da' beast!!!

Well, ya'll won't be able to give me grief about the poor alignment on the beast anymore. I just accuired a 73 F-250 4x4 and the axles are going under the old 85 next week . BTW I'll be selling the rest of the truck when I'm done if anyone wants anything, along with the 9"/D44 TTB out from under mine.

Duane, congrats on the parts. Now you just need to get them on the truck so you can try to break something. Oh, what engine does the truck have and is it in running condition.

Does it have a motor? I am looking for a running motor, preferably an FE but would consider any for the right price. I also need some other small parts I would be interested in if you have them.

e-brake cables
washer fluid tank
washer fluid motor
door panels
etc.

so duane, if my memory serves, did that F-250 have the FFD60 rear and D44 front? or the same as your 85 has? also, what gears do you have in your 9" that's currently under your truck? thanks

OK here it goes

Husker & Hawg Dawg it has a 400BB that "ran when he parked it" there isn't a bell housing on the tranny so I can't try it. But I will see if it will turn over by hand and get back to ya.

ThomasM57, the bed is garbage. Lemme put it this way, I "peeled" the side of the bed up to look under the box lol.

Hawg Dawg, I'll take a look and see what it has from your list and get back to ya.

Ryan, it does have the d60/d44 combo, the 9" under mine has 4.11's and it's going to be an open carrier, I'm keepin the e-z locker but it will be complete hub-to-hub along with all the springs, hangers, etc.

Tony, Would you like "rusty" or "been there awhile" lol.

Jon, yeah it'll give it a new look and I've always wanted a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Sure Ryan, run for the hills lol.

BTW I could use a set of 74-79 outer D44 3/4T spindles, and a drag link/tie rods from a 79 F-150. If any one knows where I can find a set lemme know.

Run for the hills... haha, funny.
no, I"m goin up there, cause I've got a buddy that has done axle swaps on both an explorer and a ranger, so he's experienced WAY more than I am, and he said he'd help me, so I"m goin for it. so I know its done right.

I got a friend that is getting rid of an 85 F-250 2WD. Its got a 351W but i believe me and my mudding partner is pulling that from the truck. The rest of the truck will most likely be up for sale if anyone is interested!! He may sell for parts or he may sell it whole, not sure yet!! Let me know if your interested in any or all!!
