I was just thinking, when i go snowmobiling to one of the places i go where there is no electric in the house because its 1 mile back in the woods, how the hell am i gonna start this truck in negative degree weather without plugging it in????? so i was just wondering, do you think that if i were to buy one of those small generators just to plug the truck into a couple of hours before i start it if it would work. do you think it would and has anyone done it?
If you get a 3000 watt generator it should work just fine. Just make sure the generator is capable of 20 amps on 1 120 volt receptical. Lots of the smaller wattage generators are not able to handle 20 amps on one outlet.

thermal blanket, throw it over the motor when you shut it off. Dump some 911 in the tank really works in the cold. Mine fired up -11 ait temp with a 40 mph wind without being plugged in. It cranked pretty slow but she did light. A good winter blend fuel is the key also.
