It appears that the '98 expy I bought a year ago was wrecked and no one told me. The power window jumped it's tracks and then the door wouldn't open from the inside. Upon taking the door apart I found the insides to be a mess! Everything is bent and parts have been replaced - they have the junkyard numbers on them. The track is all bent, the door handle insides are just bent to heck and back, I'm surprised we didn't have trouble before this. I am fire mad to say the least!
Anyway anyone know where I can get a good used door or somewhere that sells door parts? I've been looking online all day and can't find anything!
What door you need? Front, Rear, Left, Right? You said that it was a 1998 Expedition. The rear doors are very easy to come by, The front on the other hand are a little harder to get and a lot more $$$$$. Anyway let us know which door you need or which parts and I'm sure some one can help
I have lots of door parts and a few doors if I can help I have window regulators and pretty much any thing in side a expedition or navigator door, front or rear.
I also have a friend who has even more parts. Good luck.
sorry should have said earlier, please be patient with me as I try to explain.
It is the front drivers side door, it has power door locks and window. The 'bar' that goes from the inside door handle to the plate that actually opens the door is bent. Meaning that 'bar' and the part that should turn to open the door is bent. The power windows regulator works but the 'nobby' things that go onto the track that attaches to the window have come out and I can't get them back in the plastic sides. Did I explain well enough? If you need more info let me know, this is making me nuts! I have to climb out over the passenger seat to get out - wouldn't believe the way some people look at ya!
