Aod Trans Need Help
Ok I Have A 1990 302 Efi With A Aod. I Am Changing The Efi Sys To A Regular Carburator And Intake. I Was Told That I Need A Kick Down Linkage To Make The Trans Work Properly. Can Anyone Tell Me Exactly What I Need And Where I Can Buy The Parts.

You don't need to buy anything, if you have a little skill. Take a look at your throttle body, where the cables are connected to it. There is a plate that is connected to the throttle body shaft. Rotate the plate by hand, and you will see that it will rotate 90 degrees. That is the same as the rotation of a carb butterflies and shaft. Use a drill, and drill out the center of that cable plate. Remove the plate, and simply attach it to your carb in the same position as it was on the throttle body. I've done this several times, and it worked fine every time.

I can't email you, so I'll just have to try to explain. Do you know what your throttle body is? Can you follow the throttle cable and the transmission TV cable to a plate on the throttle body? It is mounted on a shaft that pivots when you mash the throttle. It's prety easy to remove this shaft ffrom the throttle body, and then remove the plate from the shaft. If you don't follow what I'm trying to say, then you'll just have to go with the option of buying all the stuff you need.
