Happy New Year!!
Am new to this site. Own a '98 F150 ext cab. Had a taillight burn out today and since replacing it, my dome light and exterior back-up light have stayed on continuously. Anyone have any ideas? I checked all the doors, tailgate, lighting control switches and *****. Should I just pull the fuse on these two lights until I can get it into the shop?
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Since you said you have checked all the switches that leaves out my thought of the headlight **** for the dome light or switch on the dome light itself. Could be a stuck door switch. Backup light is off the switch for reverse so this may be stuck or misadjusted.

Would installing the wrong flasher bulb in the rear tailgate area cause this? I took out a 3457K bulb, but AutoZone gave me (and I looked it up) a 3157LL. Any ideas?
