I've read a lot on this forum about the quality (or lack of) Fram filters due to the use of cardboard endcaps. Yesterday, I was checking out a Motorcraft PSD filter and noticed it has cardboard endcaps. Does this place the quality of Motorcraft among that of Fram, or is this whole cardboard endcap thing being blown way out of proportion? I'm curious to hear responses from gas and diesel owners out there about these filters.
I am new to this site and having quite a time figuring it all out. I wanted to thank you for the reply about the "Check Enging" light on my explorer. I already told them to put the new gas cap on but haven't picked it up or paid for it yet. I wanted to get another opinion on the diagnosis cost before I spoke to the Manager of the service department at the dealership. I will let you know what happens and thanks again.
