2.3 diesal?
2.3 diesal Ranger.Please any info?mpg,are they still made,how do they hold up?Thanking of buying one as light service truck.Never seen one before we run 7.3 s never let me down.

mpg- i hear anywhere from 30's to 40's on this site.
they were only made a couple of years in the early 80's.
dont know how they hold up but if you have a part break, good luck finding a replacement because they are few and far between, nearly non existant.

They're old and extremely hard to find. Parts are pretty much impossible to get. Don't know much about how they hold up. Ford makes a 4cyl turbo diesel in the Rangers for other countries, but not available in the US currently. Hopefully we'll see it in a few years. On another note, there's reason you see a ton of Rangers as light duty service vehicles, they last forever. Most people will agree with you though that the 7.3 was an awsome motor, almost bulletproof
