I have a diablo predator on my early 99. Before I installed it I had intake, exhaust, disabled wastegate, and a 4.7k ICP mod. My truck could hit 27 psi of boost even though the computer was defueling. Now with the same stuff on and the predator at 100hp, my truck is of course faster but I only see 24-25 psi of boost. Most of the time it wont even set the overboost light. Now on the 40 hp tow program and my empty car trailer, it hits 26 like its nothing. why does the 100 not make the boost? I know that the timing advances but does it do it enough to lower the boost? EGT is under control at low 1200's.

Its a very good thing you are not driving more boost. The stock turbo is designed to be efficient up to 25 lbs of boost, anything above that is unused power. My understanding is the waste will open, even though its dis-connected or if it has a boost tube. With all the added fuel the 100hp setting has and timing advanced, you are using all thepower that is harnessed in. I have a very simillar setup like yours but with the Edge evolution. You should also consider a MAP sensor Relief valve to stop the defueling and the SES light.
PS: I have seen controlled Boost with the SCMT 1705, Predator and Edge all at the 100+ hp setting to be around the 25 lb boost.

I just need to borrow my buddy's gtech and just play with my truck and the tuning as well as the wastegate to see how its the fastest. Last night she felt faster with the wastegate working and only about 20 psi on the 100 hp program. Maybe when the wastegate dosent open it puts too much backpressure on the truck and it dosent run as well. I just need to play some more but diesel gets expensive when its those black dollar bills spewing out the pipes.
