100 vs. 150

Whats the difference between a 100 and 150? Is there any body differences?

Shouldn't be, it was mostly engine, and suspension differences.

There was a thread somewhere about this very recently; I think it was "Last year of F100" or something like that. The F150 was introduced as a 'rule cheater' as I understand it. By having a slightly higher load capacity, they where able to avoid the catalytic converter and other smog stuff for a while, cuz the new laws had a GVW cut-off point.

The F100 is basically a car on wheels. The lug pattern is different and they have different/wimpier springs than the F150 of that time.

My friend got ahold of his late grandma's F100 and was going to drop an 82 F250 4x4 frame under it. Mmmm, 300 engine, manual t-case, auto tranny, and real suspension....too bad he ditched the project.

The 300 in that truck smokes nd knocks and all sorts of crummy stuff..and still urns like a champ. Of course.
