You are right MustangGT221. We are all going to have bad things happen to one degree or another. The problems are important, but what's more important is how we come out the other side. You know the saying, "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger". Well does going through a problem make us more selfish, or does it make us more likely to reach out to someone else when they are in trouble? Do we become more understanding, more caring, and a better person? Or do we become just "hard"? 2005 may or may not be better than 2004. But I will be better in 2005 because of 2004. If I can go out and help someone or lift someone's spirits in 2005 then it will be a good year. Sorry for preaching. Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody.

2004 was good, hate to see it go, but I am looking forward to 2005! Lost my woodshop teaching job, but picked up a 1st grade teaching job! Fixed my possessed wiper problem on my Ranger (Thanks to FTE!) My daughter turned 3, and gets more fun and beautiful everyday!!! The Dodgers finally made the playoffs again, only to get spanked by the Cards. And...Kurt Bush kept his cool (and his mouth shut) when a pack of bowties tried hunting him down, and took home the 1st "Nextel Cup," for Ford!!! Even though we don't have a great income at this time, my wife & I just gave some money to help out the Tsunami torn parts of the world!!! Our flood here in So. Cal. was pretty non-eventful compared to what they went through! Great New Year to ALL!!!

I'd say that it was pretty good for me. Got my drivers license, my motorcycle, first serious girlfriend, and had alot of fun. Im graduating high school in 2005 so I think that it will just get better. Hopefully the next year will be better for everyone else, looks like 2004 has been a struggle for some.

2004, was the worst year by far, and to end it I lost my father Dec. 9th, and my girlfriend dumped me the same day. Glad to see that year gone, and hope 2005 is better.

I guess it depends on how you look at it, more bad things happened to me this year than any other year of my life, but we survived,so a good year I guess, just glad its over, and optimistic about 2005

If only I could take out the part where I broke up with the girl I thought would be the future Mrs. birdhunter1 2004 was a great year. Oh heck, leave that part in and it's still great, she wasn't the one for me anyway.
I got a $50k + a year job that was the same job I had part time for the previous 1 1/2 years, a few months later graduated from college with a bachelors degree, for a graduation present to myself I bought a new Beretta AL 391 urika 20 guage as my new quail gun, took several nice fishing trips, for my 24th birthday I bought a 2004 F-150 reg. cab XLT 4x4 flareside truck, gave my nieces and nephew real nice Christmas gifts (nephew got his first .22 rifle) and I by the end of the year I almost have enough to put a down payment on a house to buy or build, I became active in my church even more than I was before, I had a lot of great opprotunity to quail hunt, the farm went well, hunting has been great, and only one speeding ticket in 2004.
I pray 2005 is as good if not better.

Fantastic year. The Mrs and I are both healthy with good jobs. Son graduated high school and is doing well at his job. Have a puppy that rules the house. Wife was promoted a couple of months ago. Hope 2005 continues the good times.

'04 was a better than average year for me. Got the feuding relatives bought out of the farm. That was a celebration. About a week later, I lost my Grandpa. He was getting up there in age, and they got the farm settled, he was pretty much at ease. Just too bad he couldn't have enjoyed it a bit longer.

Some other things that happened in '04 that were pretty good for me, Van Halen reunited, Martha Stewart went to jail, I bought a newer truck, Kurt Busch won the championship over the chevy drivers (next year is Marks turn), Bush is still the pres. (didn't have a much better choice), Had a record corn crop.

'04 was most interesting. If you had asked me in '03 what '04 would be like, I would have said that I would have been in college, up to my eyeballs in debt, with no prospect of a good job when I got out. Instead, '04 turned out to be a year where I woke up, and decided I didn't want anything to do with college (at the moment) I'm employed with a good job, and doing well enough to keep me happy. I've been offered a management position within my company, which I will be taking. After a few years of that, I'm going back to school, I don't care what it takes.

'04 started out with me falling on the ice in front of the house. Compound spiral fracture, down for 5 months. Bad. During that 5 months I decided retiring early was driving me nuckin' futs, and I went back full time. On my terms, where I wanted to work, doing what I love, and avoiding what I don't. Good.

Oldest son seems to have found himself in the woods of Oregon, and I'm likin' the young man he's grown into. Good. Both daughters continue to surprise us with their initiative and hard work. Good. Wife continues to battle with....and for her "special" kids in HS. Both good and bad- successes come hard, failures more easily.

On balance, not a bad year at all.

I'm not really sure. The bad: '04 was one hell of an emotional roller coaster for me, 2 wrecks in my truck, other things. End of the year: I found out I have some of the best friends in the world, closer to them than ever. Almost done fixing my truck, got a job, school's goin well, and im with my soulmate. Hope the next is the first of many good years with her.

We'll just have to see what '05 brings..........
