We all make New Year's resolutions; we all break 'em! What ones will you make, and which do you think will be the first to go? Any you're really determined to keep? First one I'll break? Eatin' healthy! One I'm gonna keep? Get my financial woes straightened out.
(Other B here)
The one sure to get broken is "I'm not doing this again NEXT year..."
I'm going to quit smoking. For how long this time, I don't know, but when the last cig is gone I'm done. That goes along with another of my resolutions, to work out more.
My sure-fire way of not breaking them is not to make 'em. Works every time! My co-worker told me that he always resolves to quit smoking, which lasts for a month or two, till everyone around him begs him to start again because he becomes a total butthole without them. I am so looking forward to going back to work with him on Monday! -TD
Resolution is something that you are going to try to do in the year.
Wether it be a good thing or a bad thing, you do not know if you have actually broke it until Dec. 31st. of that year. You have 365 days from New Years Eve to try and resolve that paticular situation that you made a resolution of.
Now I have 365 days to quit smoking. Perhaps I'll break it the resolution, perhaps I'll be successful. I will not know for sure until Dec. 31st. 2005.
self pleasure ! i broke it at 12:39 am when we pulled into mcdonalds and got a number 1 super sized with a coffee and then had a smoke afterwards. i hate those resoulutions but mcdonalds just taste so good and coffee taste so good and that malboro was just sitting there waiting for me afterwards sigh... maybe next year i will eat healthy and cut back on caffine and quit smoking. but at least i got another year now for a few pleasures
