turbo noise.
I just got back from a trip to pismo beach towing my 12,000 lbs. fifth wheel.I have a 2002 f350 auto psd with chip,4in. exhaust,afe intake and super chip.I went to pass a semi and got on it pretty hard when the whine from the turbo changed tones now its a lot louder and more like a whisttle.I liked the whine from all the mods but this is a little annoying.The truck has 42000
miles on it.I still had great power no over heating or any other problems.I did notice that the turbo flutter was more prevelent with the heavy trailer.Does any one have any answers?Thanks Greg

Have you removed the intake and looked at the impeller itself? How about looking at the down pipe to see if it is intact or if the v-clamp has broken or fallen off. Have you deleted the EBPV? if so how did you plug the hole where the spindle was? I sucked a freeze plug up and out the exhaust with that mod. I have since gone to the Non-EBPV turbo housing. But mine sounded much like you describe the few days I drove around without the plug in.
