Intake Manifold - 223
Pulled my intake and exhaust manifolds today to get the abrasive on them to clean them up. Some of the exhaust bolts felt as though they were finger tight...
Question. In the location of the heat riser, I found a good two fist-fulls of carbon chips trapped above the riser valve and nearly filling the void in the intake manifold. I've cleaned it all up, but was wondering if the two voids in the intake went around in a loop - connecting one side to the other if you will.
I don't have a tool or anything that could possibly carve out the carbon if there is indeed a loop there.
I'm looking to paint it semi-flat black. Anyone know if it should be flat or gloss black?
