460 rebuild

i am getting ready to rebuild my 460 i have the block cleaned up i am now working on the heads what is the best thing to use to get all the sludge off out of the ports and stuff with out sending them somewhere thanks for any help mike

The "best" thing to do is to have them hot tanked at the machine shop. This will usually remove all grease, sludge, rust and scale. Any other cleaning method will result in a partially cleaned part, since you won't really be able to get inside the oil ports or coolant passages. This is one area that it's worth the extra cost to have it done right.
