Howdy, I'm new to your club, but not new to Ford trucks. I used to build performance engines for mud racing and tuff truck competitions. I also used to have a '73 and a '78 F-150 ( my favorite years). Now I have a chance to buy a really nice '85 with a l6 that is rebuilt, but has had carb problems for a long time. I don't know if I will try to cure the problems or replace it with a V-8. The one thing I will do is try to set it up for fuel mileage.
