you mean you want to use the 90 in tank pump and use it on an 88 b2 and take out both current pumps.
won't work in tank pump is low pressure and the other one is high pressure pump
if you just use the 90 intank pump it won't have enough to send gas to engine. 88-90 b2's fuel system differs somewhat from 86-87 b2's
so the only way i can do that is to replace both fuel pumps on my 88 b2.... i had a 90 b2 tank with everything in it to replace my 88 tank because the tank was leaking. and every thing work...
in my mind that fuel pump should work. the motor in my b2 is a 90 2.9L, out of the same vehicle which the new gastank is from! so the motor and gas tank came from the same vehicle a 90 b2 xt (would be driving that one but the frame was shot on it. or should i have switched the fuel pumps when i changed the motor
Like I said, I don't see any problems. The 1990's intank pump IS a high pressure pump so it WILL deliver the correct pressure/volume, the exact presure will be determined by the fuel pressure regulator.

So I should be able to do the swap with out problems then. (the fuel pressure regulator) will regulat the amount of fuel getting to the engine!
