04 Screw XM Commander install
I installed the Terk Commander today. The instructions from fanman2 were excellent. The only issues were the removal of the plastic on the dash. That was pretty scary and you had to be very careful.
I installed the commander in the ash tray slot and it looks great. I made what I believe is a slight improvement. I am sure all of you will tell me whether it really is or not. I modified the tray that comes with the commander to fit the ash tray slot. It fits like a glove and eliminated the need for the wood underneath. I used a grinding wheel to eliminate the overhang on all 4 sides. Leave about a 64th on the left side(opposite the wire slot) and rounded the corners. Fits perfect and the commanders clips into it. Thanks again for the excellent instructions.
