Thermostat
Does anyone know what temp thermostat to use in a F150 (95) V6. The problem I'm having is the truck is running sluggish @ around 65 mph. The temp gauge is coasting btween the first hash of the normal range, amd the "N" of the word NORMAL. Temp out of the vents is @~ 142F. If someone could email me a response I would appreciate it as I don't get home that often Thanks. OBTW, I just put a new tstat in, the upper hose is hot, lower is cool.

You can put in any tstat temp you want but the OE tstat is around 192 degrees. I think when you buy a new one it is 195 degrees. Anyway, that's probably what you got when you bought your new one. And upper hose hot and lower hose cool is how it should be. Heated water from the engine block is pumped to the radiator where it is cooled and returned to the engine block. If your gague is hovering where it always has then your probably OK in engine temp.
