Static and poor reception AM only
2003 F250, 6.0 4wd, Lariat. 6CD AMFM
Poor reception and static on AM only.
It was worst when lights were on. Ford changed out mirrors, replaced radio. improved slightly, still bad. Anyone else solve this problem

Most of the time that means you have a grounding problem. First try cleaning the antenna plug-in, then clean off the contact points on the trucks antenna, and look on the cord for any cuts of gashes that could be rubbing on metal, also look at your engine grounds. If they are dirty clean them, and make sure all of them are attached. Hope that will help.
