Advice on upgrades

I am new to this forum and my questions may be answered elsewere on this forum. If so please direct me to that location. I reciently purchased a 1997 F250 PSD CC Short box. It is bone stock except for the exhaust which has a 4" straight pipe with the cat and muffler removed. This is my daily driver plus I have a 5th wheel and a fishing boat that I will pull in the summer. What performance upgradeds should I do plus in what order should I do them. I will only have money for one at a time. I am thinking of gauges, down pipe and chip.

Thank in advance for your help.

We have about the same truck, so I'd do the downpipe first, set of gauges (EGT, Boost, & Trans Temp), Tymar air intake, then add a chip. I just installed the Diablo Delta chip in mine and it really makes a difference! You can also do some cheap (almost if not free upgrades) such as the 10k mod, hot foot mod and FPR shim. Search for Baz's PSD pages on the net. He's done tons of stuff to his truck. Welcome to FTE!

Welcome! You're in the right place.
Sounds like you're on the right track, you have to build the foundation before you start adding power mods. Go with what max1775 said, he's leading you in the right direction.
Here's a link to the 10k mod, simple and cheap, and gives the truck a little more snap.

Here's the link to Steve Baz's website. A LOT of useful information there, could spend a couple days reading everything.
