Question Computer for E4OD

I think this would be the right forum for this question.
I would like to use a 5.8/E4OD out of a 90 E250, and put carb/intake and dist. off older motor and put into my 66 F100. I am wondering if I use the computer and harness off a diesel E4OD and adapt the FIPL valve and Tach sensor from the diesel to the carbed 5.8 would this work. I like the way the 5.8/E4OD turns on, and pulls when its needed. If this would work I'd even consider this combo in my dad's 72 Bronco.
Any assistance would be appreciated Thanks!

You lost me on the mix and match. Personally, I'd try to swap computer, harness, EFI and all. Especially since you like the way it runs now.

For tranny control, try this outfit:

if you go with the bauman, make sure you get all the tuning tips, i just went thru that works fine now but getting it to work is hard without all the info.
