Chips for Escapes
Just to let you folks know that Ken has chips for your Escapes available here at the online store. Chip will add 13hp to the 2.0L and 21hp to the 3.0L And yes, I am biased on the chips, I distribute them for Ken. I put one in my new Escape 1 day after delivery. Little thing is a screamer. 1st trip to West Texas, 4 adults and luggage, 70-80 mph on cruise, 24 MPG. I am thrilled. Just for gigles, floored it, let up at 127mph, according to my GPS. Mean little machine. Fun to drive. The Escape takes a bit of unique wrangling to install a chip because of the ecu location. Not difficult, the ecu just needs to be weatherproofed after chip installation. ECU is located under the hood in the center of the firewall, easy access.

I strongly recommend NOT installing a chip in the ECM. Try the SCT Xcalibrator, which plugs into the access terminal inside the cabin and allows you to install one of three different programs depending on what you're doing with the car. The unit also saves the factory default program. I've been using one in my '05 XLT for several months and I love it. I get improved performance AND better MPGs.
