Question for the masses :)

The wonder of Chocolate's.......You never what you're gonna get ! (Forrest Gump)

Ever get spaced out eating these Chocolate's ?

Does anyone know how many Liqueur filled Chocolate's it takes to blow over
.08 ?

I was thinking of someone gorged themselves like eating 20-30 of these ,would they be safe to drive ?

You get pulled over by the police in a check stop & they ask:" Have you had anything to drink" ?
Do you answer,:"No but I ate 30 chocolate's filled with Liqueur in the last 2 hours" ?

I purchased a rum ball for my sweetie in Pensacola , Florida at a confection store downtown . Although I am not against alcohol, it was so full of booze I threw it out on the road as it was making me nauseous by the smell alone. I can only imagine that a bum had one heck of an evening with it. In that case I think that one alone would have put you in the poky. I am serious that thing was loaded

Some of those Winebrandt Bonen from Germany have close to a half a shot of Cognac in em. Wouldn't take too many of those.

Damn! How long did it take them to come up with this great idea, and why weren't we told about it sooner?! Chocolate covered cherry now has a totally new definition.

Sneak Attack :

I don't know how many of these things one can consume without effects but I found it took many to even notice any difference .

When younger and attending Folk Festivals in summer , what you could take on site was restricted so we used to inject Oranges with Vodka to create a mobile Screw Driver . Also a watermellon will hold a couple of 40 pounders and really creates an added interest for those that were not fond of watermellon .

Just a little trickery I thought I'd pass on but please folks do not drive while
consuming alcohol in any form . Get tilted if you must but leave the wheels in the drive way . When I look back at how many of the people I grew up with that are gone from driving while drinking or were killed by someone who was when it was a far more acceptable practice it is a down right shame how these lives were wasted for a couple of drinks .

Have a great New Year and many more by drinking responsably if you are going to drink at all .

I've got a recipe someplace for a Bunt cake that takes a whole fifth of rum by the time it's done. A third goes in the batter and the rest after it's baked. Then the whole thing gets sealed with plastic wrap and aluminum foil, then goes in the freezer for 6 months. It's an awsome New Years dessert, but I always forget to make it in July..

cherry bombs are good and strong, they are cherrys soaked in everclear. from what i hear everclear is 190 proof and illegal in california so they had to be smuggled in. the ones i had were soaked in it for a year.

Sams club in our area had these chocolates that are shaped like bottles and they had Jack Daniels, Kallua, Southern Comfort, and something else in them. I think it said that each one had like .05 % alcohol in each one. So I imagine they can add up if you are on a chocolate binge.

over 10 years i've been driving... never once been stopped by the police looking for drunk drivers... not that i drink and drive but you don't see those road side checks here

not that we don't drink... i remember our high school dances... 500 kids in a church basement, a buck a beer, lots of drugs and some loud music.

guys stumbling to their cars, drunk, keys in hand... cops would show up to make sure nobody started throwing punches but let the drunks drive home

Not that it matters, as I quit drinking so long ago that alcohol doesn't taste good at all to me, but doesn't the alcohol cook out of stuff when baked? Obvuiously, the rum applied after baking would be potent, but I'd always heard that alcohol evaporates. Maybe Dennis could answer this one...

Yes some of the alcohol is removed in the baking process.

When I was about 23,I ate an entire Harvey Wallbanger Cake to see how well that Vodka & Galliano worked out.

I may be wrong but I think close to 20 % of the alcohol is removed in baking.

Off to google
