Anyone have a Corn Burning Stove or Furnace?
#3
Bought one from Northern Equipment just over a year ago. Paid around $1200 for it.
I installed the unit in my basement and plumbed a vent from it to the living room. I first installed it in the basement below the bedroom so i could get the shortest run for the flue. That was a mistake, the noise from the augers going on and off at night drove me nuts. I ended up moving it. The flue is a direct vent so it goes out the side wall of the house. I have to shut it down every seven days and clean it out (messy) i,am glad i didn't put it in my living room.
Thinking of getting rid of it next year and buying a wood burner that sits out in the yard and heats water that is pumped into the existing forced air heater.
