V-6 Valve problem

# valves and 12 seals went bda at 7000 miles and had to be replced! Anyone else have this poblem? Dealer went I have no idea why!!!!

V-6 Valve problem

I have a 2002 Escape with the V6 4x4..At 1532 miles the engine was replaced because of a ticking noise coming from the valve train..Ford would not let the dealer touch anything.. They wanted the engine sent back for teardown.. Took 7 days to get the new engine here and 2 days to install.. The dealer did a great job... From some of the other Esacpe web sites around, the Duratec engine seem to have a knack for failure and strange noises...I now have 150 miles on the new engine with no noises so far...

Ive got a 02 Escape with 48,000. I sometimes here a ticking noise coming from the motor really cant tell where from. Hope its not the valves cause dont think its under warranty anymore.
