front end noise
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 2000 excurision 4 x 4 diesel, it just started to make a intermittent clicking noise coming from the drivers side front end.
replaced the caliper and pads noise was still there,
removed the auto 4 x 4 hub and test drove, noise still there
I had a 96 F150 which had screw on type hub caps. The screws would back off once in awhile creating a ticking or clicking sound. Did you put the backing pads on the new pads? They are thin and keep the pads fram chattering. Did you pull both hubs or just the one you thoght was making noise? Also check your front drive axle ujoints. Hope this helps
Sounds like a typical u-joint failure. Very common on front wheel drive vehicles, not so much with 4x's. Key to diagnose is noise only when a hard turn. Keep us posted.
