Thats pretty much the way I remembered it. Bob Glidden had the personality of a dish rag. Ford Motor Company had the common sense of a fool in matters of drag racing. Had to happen sooner or later {the split}. I must agree with Bob that Ford was spending to much on the Hee-Haw circuit and not enough on drag racing. They also did not know enough to listen to the man who knew what it took to win in the highly competitive world of Pro Stock drag racing. Seems that FMC was always looking for the easy way out in Motorsports. What a shame it is for us Ford drag racing fans.
