Rear differential fluid capacity

Does anyone know how much gear oil the 7.5 rear end holds? I had a bearing go south on me in the differential and now need to replace the pinion gear and bearings that hold it in place. Also had anyone ever heard of a bearing going out in this rear end? Its a new one to me.

I got a 4.10 ls from the boneyard today. Plan on putting it in tomorrow. Well anyways, on a limited slip differential isnt there supposed to be non-friction modifier added? How much of that stuff goes in? My 3.0 shorty is pretty quick off the line already, hopefully the different ratio will give it a little boost.

Got the gears changed out earlier this morning. Now the van is alot faster on takeoff (gotta love that). Well anyways i thought that the bearing was out but it turns out that the part of the ring gear assy that the bearing is pressed on and rides on was no longer there. Now what would cause that? It was turned into chips that were conveniently located in the oil. Apparently when that went it caused the ring gear to move over slightly and the pinion gear and ring gear assy met each other head on. About half of the teeth were wore off the ring gear and the pinion was messed up pretty badly too. Oh well, just wish i could figure out what caused it to go haywire in there. Hopefully it wont happen again, cause i hate the smell of gear oil and lsd modifier. It smells especially bad when it is covering your body, and it is hell to get off.
