try the LMC mailorder catalog. they sell tailgates and other body panals. the tailgate will not have the FORD label, but they are good repro's of the stock tailgate.

I want a used tailgate from another F150.
I want that big aluminum piece and the reflector from a 87-96.
Will it fit?

Up here in my part of PA you need a tailgate to pass inspection but it might be different where you are. I'd say get a tailgate net. They only cost about $20 and you get better fuel mileage.

I want a newer tailgate. I have the original 1983 tailgate.
I just don't like it. I want that big brushed aluminum piece with the reflector.
My latch is too low to fabricate one on so I need a newer tailgate.
I can get one at the junkyard. I just wanted confirmation that it will fit before I go buy a tailgate from a 87-96 truck.
