Unhappy Engine Noise

i HAVE A 99 F150SC 4X4 WITH JUST OVER 80,000 MILES, THAT UP UNTIL THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A GREAT VEHICLE. ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO I EXPERIENCED THE DREADED "PLUG BLOWOUT" ON MY #2 CYL. AND ENDED UP INSTALLING A "TIME SERT", CHECKED ALL THE REST OF THE PLUGS FOR PROPER TORQUE AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE AFTER THAT. RECENTLY, NOW THAT IT HAS GOTTEN COLDER, THERE IS A STRANGE NOISE COMING FROM THE #2 CYL AREA. IT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE. ALMOST LIKE A POPPING NOISE INSIDE A HOLLOW SPACE. I HAVE CHECKED FOR EXHAUST LEAKS, AND COULD NOT FIND ANY EVIDENCE. THE PLUGS ARE NEW, AND I HAD A DE-CARB ON THE INTAKE DONE. ANY SUGGESTIONS???? I'M AT A LOSS

Sorry that no one has replied til now.
Did you get anything figured out?
I'm wondering if the spark plug is loose again? I would certainly take a look at that.
When you checked for exhaust leaks did you look at the manifold to head studs? They sometimes break.

No problem on the reply time. I have checked all of the plugs. been doing that at every oil change (been kind of gun shy since the blowout) I will check the studs to see if everthing is good. Seems that every problem that I've had has been on the pass side of engine. (2 head gasket replacements, bad window motor, plug blowout, and now this). I may have to go back to driving my 69 f100, 390ci. Never had any probs with it
