Wiper Problem
I also only have 4 low (manual shift) indication from the transfer case.
I read the notes in the forum pertaining to this problem and it would appear that the fault comes from a GEM module; so I purchased one and am now ready to install it. The problem is, I can't find one under my hood or my dash. Where is it located?

Before you replace the GEM try unplugging the 4x4 lockout switch. It is the switch that tells the GEM whether you're in 4x4 or 4x2. It's located on the front of the transfer case sort of above the front driveshaft. If the wipers work with that unplugged you probably just need to replace the switch and drain and refill the transfer case. If the switch gets moisture in it it can cause the GEM to not work right and make the wipers do what you're describing. Yes it sounds strange but I've seen lots of these. Sometimes just putting the transfer case in 4X4 will get the wipers working again too.
The GEM is bolted to the back of the fuse box under the dash. You have to remove the wiring connectors from the fuse box, remove the trim piece under the steering column and then remove the fuse box and GEM as an assembly.
