Exclamation 4 barrel on a 360

hi was wandering if anyone out there can tell me a what is a good combination of manifold and carb for my 360,i want to remove that heavy 2 barrel manifold and carb.Can i use a edelbrock performer 390 and a performer 600 carb,and can i just leave the egr valve off the new manifold, would appreciate any kind of info,by the way the engine is in a 1976 ford f250 2wd,thanks much

I did exactly what you said with the edelbrock parts and if staying emissions legal isn't an issue for you it should work as well as mine does. I got the parts for it all at jegs for around 600. I just drove 500 miles with no problems and got 10 mpg(carb out of the box with no tuning) at 65-70.76 250 4x4 360

yes a performer intake is your best bet for a 360 dont get the performer rpm unless you get it very cheap. if you are willing to spend a few more dollars buy the callibration kit for the carb and buy a carb tuner it usesan o2 sensor to test exhaust gasses and helps you tune your carb for optimum performance and fuel efficency. only draw back is you have to weld an 02 bung into your exhaust system.

the RPM is a goodd multi-purpose intake. I think its a good coice for almost any FE build. It does cost more. But, you will not lose much if any low end power in my opinion. What it buys you, more potential in the future. If you know that you will never desire more from your FE,then the Performer is a good choice. If you think there is a chance you will want to build a hotter FE out of that 360 in the future, consider the RPM. The RPM may require some port matching with stock heads.

if your on a budget, consider an old Ford aluminum intake. Check with places like DSCMotorsports
