With this discussion on cool down times, has anyone here tried the "turbo saver" unit on their 6.0L yet? I was over at their site looking for the new brite box and saw their control box for the turbo. Basically it will run your engine for x minutes (user settable) after you have turned your key off and left the truck. Anyway here is the link. If anyone has any exoperience with this setup please speak up. I'm considering it for cooldown as well as warmup operations. I kind of like the idea of not having to leave my key in the ignition and yet be able to still run the engine.

I have a Viper Alarm that has remote start and turbo saving options. I would recomend this to anyone who is usually in a hurry or wants to extend, or at least think they are, the life of their trucks. My tipical day is remote start the truck in the morning and let it run for 3-5 mins get in and drive to school get out as quick as possible because I am always running late and my turbo saver is set for 3 mins and the truck keeps running without the key and shuts off in 3 mins. My truck always takes atleast 1-2 mins to get to 350deg so I set it for 3 mins just to be safe. Other people have different oppinions but this works best for me.

There is a gauge pod that goes on your dash. I used to have it in my gallery and probably still do if you want pics.

when your truck is in Park and your foot is OFF the brake try pushing the Star button and the Aux button at the same time and hold it for 1 second. if you have the turbo timer set up it should make a beep sound and the pager will show smoke coming out of the exhaust. if all that happens you should be good.
