I have a 94 Bronco with a 5.8, E40D. The oil pump seized and ripped two gears off the dist. There are chunks missing from the cam gear, where the dist meshes with it and metal chunks in the oil pan. My assumption at this point is new motor. I want to get a Long Block, due to the high miles, but dont know where to start looking for a good reman engine. I live out near jackson Wyoming and there are no reputable shops in the area, anyone who can help???????????

"Good reman engine" equals only one name to me, "Jasper". They have the best rep among the mechanics around here.

 

Keep an eye on eBay, i've seen some great deals on ford 5.8 lightning engines there. These things have all the good stuff, GT40 heads better intake, cam and on and on.
