I used a fuse tap and wired a power adapter with two outlets. It's the kind made for plugging into a lighter, but I removed the plug and wired it directly to the fuse box on a circuit that's only powered when the ignition is on. I've done this numerous times, and it makes for a clean installation. The 2nd outlet on my hookup goes to a radar detector. I tied the adapter up under the dash so it's out of sight.
I'm losing daylight, so I'll wait until tomorrow to finish the job. I'm going to try to run the antenna through the 3rd brake light mounting and route it under the edge of the headliner until I reach the door post, then down and under the door molding. Looks like they give you a ton of wire for the antenna.
I just spent 30 minutes sitting in my truck listening to xm. I'm glad I won't have to listen to the disc jockey babble any more!
I drive a 2003 Ranger, and the cup holders are a bit too far forward in the cab, so I installed a pair of adjustable cupholders just forward of the seat. The rear (original) cupholders are not very useful as cupholders, but one of them made a good place to mount the receiver.
I just finished installing everything a few minutes ago. Don't know if it's the same on a 150, but running the antenna wire behind the 3rd brake light was a breeze. I filed a little slot in the rubber gasket so the wire could run through, then used some sealer.
