after wiring in a 7 spade flat plug on my 2000 f-150 with elect brakes i cant get the interior lights to work in my trailer is there a relay i need or how do i get them to work everything else seems to work ok
Did you hook to a red wire in the truck's harness? In the 1999 diagram they show a "battery junction box" This box has fuses in it. They show a red wire for "trailer tow battery feed" running out of this box to the trailer plug. It is fed by a 30 amp fuse in this fuse box.

I don't know about the trailer wiring. I would take a small battery charger and use it to experiment on the trailer plug. If anything goes wrong, it has a circuit breaker made into it.
