At a stop light my 03 navy is shaking, the seats could me seen moving well everything shakes. It has 19500 miles, any ideas what could it be.
Dealer found no problem like always.
My 99 was shaking at around 64k. I had a bad plug and wire. At 19500 miles I wouldn't think you had the same trouble, but I guess anything is possible. Can you pull the wires one at a time while it is shaking. If everything connected with the cylinder is working the shaking will get worse. If not you have a problem with that cylinder. How about a vacuum leak? Is the idle high enough? Filters clean? Does it go away as you pull out? I have heard that the 03s have some extra problems. Maybe someone with an 03 could help more. Good luck with it.
Not yet but is getting worse, when I told the service advisor he told me that the engine has so much power that it shakes like that. What kind of crap is that?
Translated that means: we can't figure it out, and you make us look bad, so I want you to go away.
If you had alot of high performance engine modifications it might shake a little. But there is no reason yours should shake. Is there another dealer around? I assume it is still under warranty. Or contact The regional Ford rep. Keep going up the ladder until you find the right person.
i had a 2000 eclipse that did that. it was the idle position sensor. i don't think you'll get a check engine light for that either since all it ends up doign is causing the car to continually stall. needs to be fixed though. it's usually a wire that gets frayed and they throw some electrical tape on it.
