Picked up my F350 FX4 yesterday. Rides very good but the tires are junk!!! The dealer will take them in trade for a upgrade. They spin very easy but my new9'2" Boss plow was on the front. Took plow off so the wife could take it to work and she likes it except for the tires. Tim R.
I picked up my F350 yesterday too. I was hoping it wouldn't have those
Conti's but it did, at least I got the newer style 18" alum wheels. My dealer didn't have any 18" tires in stock, they outsource most of the tire/wheel work. Still dark out west, cant wait for the sun to thoroughly look over the truck.
My dealer is looking for soom 18" tires and I also have the polished aluminum rims. Paid for AT and got the shaft from Ford. The dealer is working with me though. Very understanding. What color is your truck? Tim R.
rogue how much balast to you run with your plow? i have the same plow on a 04 f 350 and run about 900 lbs of balast and 150 of salt. the plow weighs about 1000 lbs. so i still have alot more weight on my front axle than my rear.
Have you plowed yet with your 05. if you have how does it turn when in 4wd, how does it ride and handle the plow?
It plows good but only did a little bit, not broken in yet. I put it in 4 low but all my turing was on the snow. Better turning radius is very noticeable. Its snowing now so maybe some plowing latter. I have 20 100# tractor weights that I can put in. Need to get a bed liner first. Thinking about making a box for 8 to 12 weights so they stay in place. Tim R.
Picked my new 05 up Tuesday, after a 3 month wait, It's fantastic!! supercab, V10, torque shift, 4:10 gears, tow package, lariat, lariat lug. package, skid plates, stab. package, Roof lights, up fit. switchs, all the extra stuff. Dark stone metalic with Arizonia beige accent. Good luck with your new trucks!! Oh yea, lift, new wheels and tires, I'm on it, ASAP, out!
