E4OD question
I have a 1994 F150 4x4 with E4OD tranny. I believe I'm getting some slippage in the tranny and think it is time for a rebuild. I was thinking of getting a used tranny from a junkyard and either rebuilding it and putting it in my truck or if it works ok, just putting it in as is and rebuilding the one in my truck now. Do you have any suggestions on what year model tranny I should get as I've heard that some years are better than others? Any other suggestions or warnings would also be appreciated.

The '95-'97 E4OD's have the upgraded parts in them. I would start with one of those years if you're going to run it as is. If you're going to rebuild it anyways, the rebuilder can put the updated parts the new tranny, so the year shouldn't matter much.
