Help Changing Fuel Filter on a 99
I've read the stickied thread on changing the fuel filter, but i'm having trouble getting my fuel filter off. I have the plastic disconnect tool that everyone said not to use.. but thats all they had at the store. I'm not even sure if i'm using this tool correctly. If anyone could describe how to use this thing i'd appreciate it very much. Right now, theres a long gap in the handle part of it.. i slip that over the fuel line and then use the plastic piece on the end to push on the fuel filter. I removed the metal clip on the fuel tank side and the plastic clip in the engine side and managed to get the engine side off, with a good spraying of fuel onto myself. Is there anything else i need to unclip besides that metal clip before i start pullin on the thing?
