I noticed a few truck that have out of line boxes, what I mean is one side of the box is straight and the other side has a bow in it, I've actually had two trucks like this, if you look down the side of the truck from the back the box it looks like it curves in were it meets the cab, and the drivers side is straight, its not that the box is shifted over, the actual box looks curved, anyone seen this? its like the front panel of the box is too narrow and the bed side had to be bowed in to bolt it up. is this just my imagination? or has anyone seen this?

Funny you mentioned that. My passenger's side has always looked a little bowed and I never payed much attention. When I read this post I went to look at the truck and the driver's side looks straighter. Why oh why did you have to add even MORE confusion to my life?

don't mean too, sorry! I first thought it was just my truck, but I've seen it on a few, a good friend of mine just bought a mint 78 4x4 off the original owner, and I was spying it up, and low and behold, theres that curved bedside again on the passenger side. anyone else seen this?
