I am a new owner of a 99 Expedition EB, 1 owner with 67000 miles. So far we like it a lot, but one thing I find annoying is the interior lights go off as soon as I close the door. I can't find any reference to a delay for the interior lights, is there supposed to be a delayed shut off for the interior? If so, where might I look to find out why mine is not working?
Hmmm. The lights in my '01 delay when getting in for a few seconds, or until I turn the key. I wonder if it was a feature added between the '99 and '01 model years?
My 98 interior lights stay on after all doors are closed just barely long enough to get the key in, With my wifes Sebring, they stay on a long time and fade to off after putting the key in.
I figured I would revive this older post rather than start a new one...this is my exact question. No answer was found a year ago, I am hoping for better luck this time.
I have a 99 EB Expy (to paraphase the first post) the interior lights go off as soon as I close the door. I can't find any reference to a delay for the interior lights, is there supposed to be a delayed shut off for the interior? If so, where might I look to find out why mine is not working?
