Found a surplus store with new lawn fertilizer spreaders for $2.22. Drilled out the holes on the bottom and filled it with sweeping compound. Just cruise around the area you're going to sweep for a nice even covering. I use a Karcher floor sweeper but it should work well with a broom, too. Sure beats breathin' dust when you're cleaning up!

Yeah, flyboy, I agree with the shop vac thing. I guess I should have been more clear in what I was talking about. I put a built-in vac in and it's been great for so many things. However, sweeping up is necessary in a larger shop. Mine's 50x70 and vac would take forever. SO... what I should have said is... if it's too big to vacuum... try this....
Sorry for the confusion.

This is what I have but there are many different models. It was almost $500 Canadian. I'd like to try one of the models that filter for dust although I'm sceptical that I'd spend all my time washing the filter then.?
