What year frame can I use to replace my old 86 frame?

I have a 86 shorty sidestep... I need to replace the frame. What other years can I use for replacing the 86 frame? Thanks

I would guess that any frame from 1980-1996 would work, as long as it's a shortbed frame.

you wanna use 80-91.. 92+ have accordian style frames. I'd stay away from them unless you wanna redo the front clip.. I don't think 92+ 4x4 F250-F350 frames have acccordian style frames since they have leaves; however, you'll have to cut ~18" out of the wheelbase to get your short box to fit.

You might also want to avoid 80 and 81, as they are the ones with the softball-sized holes in the frame to "lighten" them. Probably not a big deal, and many get by fine with them, just an fyi...
