Howling/Humming noise

Howling/Humming noise
I just got my truck yesterday and i noticed that going uphill about 45 mph there is a howling noise comming from the engine..and it only occurs around 2300 rpms. If i let off the gas it quits, or if i get them above 2500 or so it quits.. Does anybody know what this could be? My dad and salesman got the truck to make the noise but the mechianic couldn't.
