Today on the way home, i was in 4-wheel cause it's hella-blizzard outside, and my truck overheated. I noticed the steam coming out BEFORE the temp gauge was out of the "normal" zone, but obviously...boiling anti-freeze isn't normal. So yeah, the anti-freeze was boiling and overflowing out of the reservoir. I'm sure there's no easy way to tell me exactly what's wrong w/ it. But if the coolant is boiling, that means that the water pump is working, correct? anyways...all help is appreciated.

Most of the time when a water punp goes you'll know it but seeing it's boiling over i would check other things. Did you throw a belt by chance? Or it could also be a stuck thermostat.
Radiator cap malfunction or not of correct specification; pressure setting of radiator cap will keep A/F from boiling. A/F will boil at a temp 0f 212F if not under pressure but higher temp if held under pressure by the cap. Sounds like you might have a combination of problems; thermostat and/or radiator cap.
usually (but not always) if the water pump is bad it will be leaking out the shaft, and won't cause it to boil over the exception is when the impeller is broken off the shaft but pretty rare. I would think radiator cap, and thermostat are most likely cuprits but one other thing you said blizzard, so how cold was it, and how good is your antifreeze it is possible to freeze up the lower part of the radiator so it isn't cooling even with boiling water on the top, so I would check the protection on the antifreeze also.
