Maybe!! LOL I would love to try that. Was it homemade. I found a 6" on the internet but that is all.

I have a 4" straight pipe with 5" tip exiting in front of the back wheel and I can here the turbo just like a jet engine with a Wicked Wheel also on a 2000PSD.

It really turns some heads when I mash on it.

Yea I don't see how the brand of exhaust would make the difference.... Get yourself some big exhaust pipe and straight pipe it and you should be all set!! I get some serious turbo whistle with my stacks - but a muffler REALLY cuts down on the turbo noise more than anything else. Ditch the muffler and the kitty if you can!!

I dunno - I never messed around with trying different size tips - I just went straight to the stacks! I would think as short as it is - the difference would probably be small.

Your welcome! See, your doing it now just like a veteran!

As for the exhaust tip making the difference, I really can't see that it would, like CatMan said, the distance isn't long enough to make that much difference. But, this guy I talked to "claims" it's the tip making all the difference. He said he had the Hog exhaust and that it did make a big difference over stock, but when it really started whining was when he put the 8 inch tip on. He claims that the whistle noise "reverberates" and is "amplified" by the tip! That statement makes me a little leary since I thought reverberation only applied to lower frequencies, but maybe I'm wrong there. I too looked for a 8 inch tip on Hog's website and could only find a 6 inch. I "assumed" it was a Hog, but maybe it was custom, I didn't ask.

The cat is the catalytic converter and you should not have it with an auto on a 2001

Hey, a month ago, I would not have known that slang either. Spend 3-4 days in the archieves. LOL (laugh out Loud).

There is always someone willing to let you in on the slang. These are super guys.

My wife thinks I am in a phycho ward now but she does not understand that I would rather have a PSD than a 67' Chevelle or the like.
